UP Couple Arrested for Faking Husband's Death for Rs 25 Lakh Insurance
Imagine a man and his wife wanted to get a lot of money from an insurance company.
They had a special paper that said the man had died, and they showed it to the insurance company.
The insurance company believed them and gave them 25 lakh rupees.
But, the man wasn't actually dead!
The insurance company found out he was alive and called the police.
Now, the police have arrested both the husband and the wife because they tried to trick the insurance company to get money.
A couple in Uttar Pradesh has been arrested for allegedly faking the husband's death.
They claimed Rs 25 lakh in insurance money from Aviva India using a fake death certificate.
The husband, Ravi Shankar, was declared dead on April 9, 2023, by his wife, Kesh Kumari.
The insurance claim was accepted and money transferred, but an internal investigation revealed Shankar was alive.
Both the husband and wife have confessed to the crime and will be produced in court.
