SC Asks ED to Respond to Journalist's Bail Plea
The Supreme Court of India has asked the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to respond within three days to a bail plea from a journalist named Mahesh Langa.
He is involved in a money laundering case linked to an alleged financial fraud.
The court also asked the journalist's lawyer to file a response if needed within two days after the ED's response.
The next hearing is scheduled for December 15.
The journalist has been accused in multiple cases, including extortion and income tax evasion.
The Gujarat High Court had earlier rejected his bail plea in this case.
