AP Skips 2026 Republic Day Parade

AP Skips 2026 Republic Day Parade

Andhra Pradesh (AP) won't show its special float, called a tableau, at the Republic Day Parade in Delhi on January 26, 2026.

This is because AP has already shown its tableau for three years in a row: 2023, 2024, and 2025.

The rules say that after three years, a state must wait before showing its tableau again.

Even though AP won awards for its tableaux in 2024 and 2025, it won't be there in 2026.

The 2025 tableau showed eco-friendly toys and won a jury award, while the 2024 tableau showed the modern education system and won a people's choice award.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) will showcase the country's transition to a faster, tech-driven justice system through its tableau.

The MHA's tableau will highlight the introduction of new criminal laws and their implementation, emphasizing accessibility, inclusiveness, and transparency.

The exhibit aims to convey the overhaul of the justice system, designed to be modern, humane, and intelligible to citizens.
