Dhoot Transmission IPO sees 74.21x subscription, 29% grey market premium

Dhoot Transmission is a company that makes car parts, and it wanted to raise money by selling shares to the public in an IPO.

Lots of people wanted to buy shares, about 74 times more than the company offered.

Big investors like banks and funds wanted 213 times more shares than were available.

Other large investors wanted about 52 times more, and regular people wanted about 8 times more.

Even before the shares start trading, people in a special unofficial market said the shares could be worth 29% more than the asking price.

That is called a grey market premium, and it hints the stock may list at a higher price.

In the end, the actual share price always depends on how buyers and sellers feel on the day.

Nobody can guarantee gains, because prices go up and down with market mood.

The company is expected to start trading on the stock exchange on August 17.
