Tamil Nadu RTE Admissions Final Phase Begins October 30
The Tamil Nadu government is starting the last part of admissions for children to schools under the Right to Education (RTE) Act on October 30.
This law makes sure that kids from poorer families can go to school for free.
Over 7,700 schools are participating, with a lot of parents applying for their kids to start school.
If there are more kids who want to go to a school than there are spaces, the school will pick the students by drawing names.
The government is also making sure that schools don't charge any money from the kids admitted through the RTE program.
There are people helping parents with any questions or problems they might have.
The goal is to make sure every child gets a chance to go to school.
Final phase of RTE admissions in Tamil Nadu will begin on October 30.
Admissions are for LKG and Class 1, based on the RTE Act.
7,717 schools have registered, receiving over 81,927 applications for LKG and 89 for Class 1.
A draw of lots will determine enrollment if applications exceed available seats.
Schools are forbidden from charging tuition or admission fees for RTE students.
