NH 65 Traffic Jam Near Chityal Due to Roadworks, Rain
Imagine a big road being made wider, like adding more lanes to a highway.
Near a town called Chityal, this roadwork is causing big traffic jams.
On one day, rainwater got stuck in the big holes made for the construction, making it even harder for cars to move.
The traffic stretched for a very long way, like 5 kilometers!
The police had to help clear the road and move cars stuck in the water.
To avoid the worst spots, police also made some cars take different, longer routes to get where they were going.
Other construction spots nearby are also making the road slower for everyone.
Commuters on NH 65 are experiencing traffic jams and slow movement due to road expansion.
Stagnant rainwater collected in potholes along construction zones worsened the traffic on Thursday.
A 5 km traffic jam occurred near Chityal, exacerbated by rainwater accumulation under a railway bridge.
Police intervened on Saturday to clear the jam and remove stranded vehicles.
Traffic diversions were put in place on NH 65 to manage the congestion from Saturday night onwards.
