IPO Rush Accelerates as August Issues Reach 11-Month High

Many companies in India are trying to sell shares to the public for the first time.

Twenty-three companies launched these offerings in August, the most in 11 months.

So far in 2026, 62 companies have raised Rs 73,674 crore through IPOs.

Many more companies are waiting to launch, creating a very large pipeline.

Investors have shown strong interest by applying for far more shares than were available.

However, companies may have to compete with one another for investors’ money.

Some may lower their prices or reduce the size of their offerings.

The market could raise more money than last year if major proposed IPOs receive approval and launch.
