Registrar Seeks Freeze on JHIC Bank Accounts
The district registrar in Hyderabad asked the Bank of Baroda to stop using the money of a local club called the Jubilee Hills International Centre.
He did this because people who used to run the club said the new leaders were not the right ones.
The registrar said the new leaders are the ones the government recognizes.
The bank was told not to let anyone else use the club’s money.
This happened after the police started a case against a man named T. Narendra Chowdary for trying to cheat in the club’s elections.
Hyderabad district registrar has requested Bank of Baroda to freeze Jubilee Hills International Centre's accounts.
Request follows complaints from former JHIC president Kothapalli Surendar Reddy and former secretary Kilaru Rajeswara Rao.
Registrar says the current executive body, amended in 2024, is recognized.
Bank instructed not to process transactions from any entity other than the recognized executive body.
The action comes after a police FIR against T. Narendra Chowdary for allegedly fraudulently appointing a returning officer in last year's JHIC elections.
