Experts Say Traditional Savings Lessons Fail To Reach Gen Z

Experts Say Traditional Savings Lessons Fail To Reach Gen Z

Many young people find ordinary money lessons boring or difficult to relate to.

Experts say this may be why financial education is not reaching Gen Z well.

In India, only 27 per cent of adults are considered financially literate.

One proposed solution is to teach money through interactive activities.

For example, learners could manage a small budget and see what happens after each choice.

This would let them learn from mistakes without losing real money.

Experts also suggest using quizzes, reality shows and online stories to explain saving and investing.

The goal is to make financial learning something young people experience, not just something they hear about.
