Beed to Appoint Health Guides for Sugarcane Workers
Imagine a special helper, an 'Arogya Mitra', who will be chosen from among the women sugarcane workers.
These helpers will be like health friends, helping women and children under five years old.
Every year, lots of women from Beed travel to other districts to cut sugarcane.
These workers sometimes have problems with their health.
The Arogya Mitras will talk to the women, find out what they need, and help them connect with the government for support.
They will also work with local health workers, like ASHA and Anganwadi, to make sure the women's health needs are met during the sugarcane season, helping address health issues.
