Hyderabad Advances ₹52,000 Crore Infrastructure Projects, Deputy CM Says

Telangana’s government says it is carrying out many infrastructure projects in Hyderabad.

The total value of the works is estimated at ₹52,000 crore.

The projects include roads, bridges, flyovers, underpasses and drinking-water facilities.

The government also wants to expand the city’s Metro network by 122 kilometres.

The proposed Metro expansion would connect places including the Old City, the airport, Patancheru and Hayathnagar.

More electric buses are being introduced to help reduce air pollution.

Some auto-rickshaws may also be converted from diesel to electric power.

A new common pass lets people travel on both buses and the Metro with the same pass.
