LG Electronics India Share Lock-In Ends
LG Electronics India is a company that makes electronics.
A few months ago, some of its shares were locked, meaning people who owned them couldn't sell them.
Today, that lock ends, and those shares can now be traded.
About 15.2 million shares, worth around ₹2,211 crore, are now eligible to be bought and sold.
However, just because the shares can be traded doesn't mean all of them will be sold.
The company recently got its lowest price target since it started selling shares publicly.
A company called Avendus Spark said the stock might not be a good investment right now and set a target price of ₹1,536 per share.
The stock has gone up about 28% from when it first started selling, but it has also gone down about 17% from its highest price after it started selling.
On Wednesday, the stock ended at ₹1,454.60.
LG Electronics India's three-month shareholder lock-in ends on January 8, making 15.2 million shares eligible for trading.
These shares are valued at approximately ₹2,211 crore based on the January 7 closing price.
The end of the lock-in does not guarantee that all shares will be sold in the open market.
Avendus Spark initiated coverage on the stock with a 'Reduce' rating and a price target of ₹1,536 per share.
The stock has risen about 28% from its issue price but has corrected around 17% from its post-listing high.
