Ted Lasso's Surprise Return: New Team, New Kid, New Coach
Ted Lasso is a popular TV show about a kind and funny soccer coach.
The show is coming back for a fourth season after being away for three years.
This time, Ted coaches a new women's team called the Lady Greyhounds.
The women's team has less money, smaller facilities, and less attention than the men's team.
The story wants to show that women's football deserves the same support as men's football.
Some fans worry the new team might take money away from the men's team.
There are new people too, like a new coach named Alice and a new actor playing Ted's son.
One favorite character, Jamie Tartt, will not be in this season very much.
New episodes arrive every Wednesday, so there are nine more weeks of stories to enjoy.
Ted Lasso returns for a 10-episode fourth season on Apple TV+, premiering now with new episodes every Wednesday through October 7.
Ted coaches AFC Richmond's newly formed second-division women's team, the Lady Greyhounds, who work with limited resources and a cramped training ground.
The season highlights the real-world funding and visibility gap in women's football rather than relying on relegation drama or a returning villain.
Tanya Reynolds joins the cast as new coach Alice Chilton, and Grant Feely takes over the role of Ted's son Henry from Gus Turner.
Phil Dunster, who played Jamie Tartt, is not returning as a series regular due to a scheduling conflict.
Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt appeared in character as Ted and Coach Beard during the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final halftime show.
