BJP slams AAP government over Punjab law and order breakdown
Two big political parties in India are not getting along.
One party is called the BJP, and the other is called the AAP.
The AAP runs the government in a state called Punjab.
The BJP says Punjab is not safe and that crime is increasing.
It also says the AAP controls what people see in the news.
A BJP leader named Tarun Chugh said the AAP misuses government power.
Mr. Chugh also said the AAP did not keep its promise to earn lots of money from mining.
He said trucks that carry illegally mined material are charged money, which he thinks is wrong.
The BJP plans to try to win all 117 seats in the next Punjab election.
BJP accused Punjab's AAP government of a 'breakdown of law and order' and putting in place an 'undeclared censorship' aimed at 'managing headlines'.
BJP state-in-charge and Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Chugh said the AAP has become 'the country's biggest example of misuse of state machinery'.
BJP announced it will contest all 117 Assembly seats in the Punjab elections.
Chugh alleged that AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal's promised new mining policy was to bring Rs 20,000 crore annually to Punjab, but only Rs 800-900 crore has reached the treasury.
Chugh alleged that a 'Mann Tax' of Rs 3,500 is being collected from every truck carrying illegally mined material.
The attack came a day after SAD chief Sukhbir Badal called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
