Definedge Securities Launches Algo Trading Platform for Retail Traders
Definedge Securities, a company from Pune, has started a new platform called ALGOSTRA.
This platform lets regular people trade stocks using algorithms, which are like smart rules for trading.
Before this, only big companies and professional traders could use these smart trading rules.
The Indian government recently allowed regular people to use these tools, and Definedge is the first to offer a platform with no extra fees.
This is a big deal because most of the profits in stock trading come from using these smart rules.
Definedge Securities Broking launched ALGOSTRA, a fully customizable retail algo trading platform with zero fees.
The platform is positioned as India's first of its kind, launched three months after SEBI's October 2025 framework.
Institutional investors and proprietary traders dominated algo trading, generating 97% of FPI profits and 96% of proprietary trader profits in F&O during FY24.
Retail investors have largely been locked out of algorithmic trading until now.
ALGOSTRA aims to provide retail traders with systematic trading advantages.
