Uttarakhand Pays Rs 12,000/Month for Sheltering Stray Cattle
The Uttarakhand government has started two new programs to help take care of stray cows and bulls.
One program, called Gram Gaur Sevak Yojana, pays people to take care of up to five male stray animals.
