Comedy Central Launches New Stand‑Up Selects Series
Comedy Central is starting a new show called Stand‑Up Selects.
It will have short comedy bits from 14 different comedians, some new and some well‑known.
The shows will be filmed in August and then posted on the channel’s YouTube page in the fall.
This is like a digital version of old shows that helped famous comedians get noticed.
The move shows Comedy Central wants to bring back its old role of helping new comedians grow.
Comedy Central is debuting a new short‑form stand‑up series, Stand‑Up Selects, to air on its YouTube channel in the fall.
The inaugural season will feature 14 comics, including both emerging and established performers such as Adam Ray and Jessie “Jetski” Johnson.
Tapings are scheduled for August and are produced in partnership with Hoff Studios, with tickets available online.
The series follows Comedy Central’s earlier digital format, Stand‑Up Featuring, which helped launch over 200 comics and amassed 143 million views.
The move signals Comedy Central’s attempt to revive its role as a talent incubator after a decade of relative dormancy.
