Aerospace Giants Invest in Andhra Pradesh
Two companies, Sarla Aviation and Flying Wedge Defence & Aerospace, are building big factories in Andhra Pradesh, India.
Sarla Aviation's factory will make special electric planes called eVTOLs, which can take off and land straight up and down.
Flying Wedge's factory will make special military planes that can fly without a pilot.
Both factories will create many new jobs and help India make more of its own planes instead of buying them from other countries.
Sarla Aviation and AP government signed an MoU for a 500-acre aerospace campus in Anantapur.
Flying Wedge Defence & Aerospace (FWDA) also signed an MoU with AP government for a combat aircraft facility.
Sarla Aviation's campus will manufacture electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
FWDA's facility will produce autonomous combat aircraft, creating over 1,000 jobs.
Both projects aim to boost India's self-reliance in advanced aviation technologies.
