Raksha Bandhan 2026 Muhurat And Jharkhand Tree-Rakhi Campaign

Raksha Bandhan is a festival celebrating the love and care between siblings.

In 2026, it will be observed on Friday, August 28.

Sisters traditionally tie a special thread called a rakhi on their brothers’ wrists.

Brothers give gifts and promise to support and protect their sisters.

People can also celebrate the festival with cousins, friends and neighbours.

In New Delhi, the recommended time for tying rakhi is from 5:57 AM to 9:48 AM.

Other cities have slightly different starting times.

In Jharkhand, villagers will also tie rakhis to trees.

They will do this to show that people should protect nature as well.
