Nepal Flood Search Hub Brings Survivors, Loss and Uncertainty

A very large flash flood hit parts of Nepal near the Tibet border.

It destroyed homes, farmland and other places in only a few moments.

Many people died, and many others were still missing.

Rescue teams used helicopters to find survivors and bring them to a military camp.

The camp gave rescued people water, biscuits and medical checks.

Some injured people had to be flown to Kathmandu because the camp lacked enough equipment.

Families came to the camp hoping to find their missing relatives.

Other families learned that their loved ones had died.
