KEC International Shares Rise 5% After Major Order Wins
KEC International, a company that builds power infrastructure and does civil engineering, just got some big new orders worth ₹1,150 crore.
The biggest one is for building a very important power line and a big substation in India.
This is the largest order they've ever gotten for this kind of work in their home country.
They also got another order to do some work at a thermal power plant.
The company is happy because they've been getting a lot of orders this year, and they think they can meet their goals.
Their shares went up by 4.6% on December 15, 2025, but they're still down a lot compared to the start of the year.
The company is doing well in building power lines but had some problems with their other work because of the monsoon and not enough workers.
KEC International secured orders worth ₹1,150 crore, including its largest-ever domestic T&D contract.
The T&D project involves a 765 kV transmission line and a 765/400 kV substation to be built on a turnkey basis.
The civil engineering division won an additional order for a 150 MW thermal power plant.
Year-to-date order intake crossed ₹18,000 crore, boosting confidence in meeting annual targets.
Shares rose 4.6% to ₹723.35 on December 15, 2025, despite a 40% year-to-date decline.
