CBI summons R.G. Kar hospital staff in rape-murder probe
A doctor working at a big hospital in Kolkata was hurt and killed.
The attack happened in a seminar room, a small meeting room, in the hospital building on the night of August 8, 2024.
A special police team called the CBI is investigating what happened.
A high court in Kolkata told the CBI to start the investigation all over again.
Now the CBI wants to talk to every hospital worker, including doctors and nurses, who was on duty that night.
One man named Sanjay Roy was already found guilty of the crime, but the doctor's family does not agree with that.
They believe more than one person was involved and that the first investigation did not talk to enough people who were there.
The CBI also took the mobile phone of a hospital employee who was the first to call the family after the body was found.
The family says she gave different information in different calls, so the investigators want to check the phone records.
