Costa Rica Shuts Airspace Due to Power Outage
Costa Rica had to stop all flights because the power went out, causing problems with the radar.
This meant planes couldn't take off or land safely.
The airports affected were Juan Santamaria and Daniel Oduber Quiros, important hubs for travel in and out of the country.
Some flights were delayed or had to go elsewhere.
Officials are working to get the power back on to get things back to normal as soon as possible.
The cause of the power failure is still being investigated.
Costa Rica closed its airspace and suspended flights on Wednesday.
The shutdown was caused by a power outage affecting the radar system.
International airports Juan Santamaria and Daniel Oduber Quiros were impacted.
Eight outbound commercial flights were delayed, and one arriving flight was diverted.
Crews are working to restore power and stabilize operations.
