HP Govt Restrains Tehsildar Amid Khali Land Dispute
The Himachal Pradesh government has stopped a local land officer, Rishab Sharma, from doing land registration work because of a big argument.
A famous wrestler, The Great Khali, said that some people, including the officer, tricked the system to register land that belongs to his father under someone else's name.
The government is now checking what happened.
Khali's father bought the land in 2013, but someone else got it registered in their name recently.
Khali wants a fair investigation and says the officer and others are not being honest.
The officer has not said anything about these claims yet.
The Himachal Pradesh government has restrained Paonta Sahib Tehsildar Rishab Sharma from exercising land registration powers due to a land dispute involving The Great Khali.
Khali alleged that 16 bighas of land, originally belonging to his father, Jwala Ram, were fraudulently registered under the name of ex-serviceman Barinder Singh.
A probe has been ordered by the Paonta Sahib SDM Gunjeet Singh Cheema, who has two weeks to submit a report.
Khali claims that local revenue officials, including the Tehsildar, misused their positions to facilitate the fraudulent registration.
The Tehsildar has not responded to the allegations, while Khali has urged for an impartial investigation and plans to meet higher authorities.
