Swiggy Raises ₹10,000 Crore via QIP

Swiggy Raises ₹10,000 Crore via QIP

Swiggy, a popular food and grocery delivery platform in India, has decided to raise ₹10,000 crore through a special type of fundraising called a QIP.

This means they will sell new shares to big investors.

The money they raise will help them grow their quick-commerce service called Instamart, improve their technology, and maybe even buy other companies.

They have already gotten approval from their shareholders, and the price for each new share is set at ₹390.51.

This is a big deal because it's one of the largest equity raises by an Indian internet company this year.

The money will also help Swiggy compete with other companies like Blinkit and Zepto in the fast-delivery market.
