India and Nigeria Vie for 2030 Commonwealth Games
India and Nigeria are competing to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games, a big sports event like the Olympics but for countries in the Commonwealth.
Both countries submitted their bids by the end of August 2025.
A special group will look at the bids and decide which country has the best plan.
They'll meet in London in late September to review the plans.
Then, they'll suggest a host to the Commonwealth, and the member countries will vote on it in late November in Glasgow, Scotland.
The winning country will then host the games.
India and Nigeria are the two countries bidding to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games.
The deadline for submitting formal bids was August 31, 2025.
