High Court Dismisses BSF Constable's Reinstatement Plea
A man named Tariq Ahmad Lone was a constable in the Border Security Force (BSF).
He took sick leave in 2003 and never came back to work.
The BSF tried to contact him many times but couldn't find him.
After six years, the BSF dismissed him.
Tariq then went to court to get his job back, but the court said no because he was gone for too long and didn't try to contact the BSF.
The court said the BSF did enough to try to reach him and that Tariq should have known what was happening with his job.
So, the court decided that Tariq's plea was not valid and dismissed it.
BSF constable Tariq Ahmad Lone was dismissed in 2004 for unauthorized absence.
Lone challenged his dismissal in the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court.
The court dismissed his plea, stating the BSF's attempts to contact him were sufficient.
Lone argued he was not given proper notice and his health issues prevented him from returning.
The court found Lone's plea devoid of merit and a wastage of time.
