Delhi Minister Orders Bawana Land Development and School Reconstruction
The Delhi Education Minister, Ashish Sood, visited Bawana and found a big empty piece of land and a school that was falling apart.
He said the land should be used to build things like a walkway, a big hall, and a place for students to stay.
The school, called Lal School, was built in 2020 but had to be closed in 2024 because it was unsafe.
The minister wants it to be rebuilt with better materials and modern classrooms.
He also wants to make sure the school in Rohini is finished on time.
He was upset that 5,000 students had to travel far to another school and ordered an investigation into why the school in Shahbad Dairy was built poorly.
He wants to make sure there are good schools and sports places in every part of Delhi, especially in Bawana.
Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood inspected 8 acres of vacant land near Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Bawana.
He directed the development of the land with a public walkway, multipurpose hall, and hostel for students and residents.
Lal School in Shahbad Dairy, built in 2020, was declared unsafe in 2024 due to structural deterioration.
Sood ordered the reconstruction of Lal School with modern facilities like smart classrooms and language laboratories.
He also reviewed the construction of a school in Sector-28, Rohini, and instructed timely completion with quality standards.
