Praj Industries and Enersur SA Partner for Paraguay Biorefinery
Imagine a factory that turns corn into fuel and other useful things.
A company called Praj Industries is helping another company in Paraguay build this factory.
This factory will make ethanol, which can power cars, plus other products like animal feed and even fuel for airplanes!
The deal was made when Paraguay's president visited India.
This project will help Paraguay use cleaner energy, help people in the countryside, and reduce the need for old-fashioned fuels.
The factory is planned to start working by late 2026.
Praj Industries will assist Enersur SA in developing a biorefinery in Paraguay.
The biorefinery will produce ethanol and co-products such as DDGS, corn oil, biogas, biobitumen, and SAF.
The agreement was signed during the Paraguayan President's visit to India.
Praj was previously awarded a contract to design and supply a 600 m³/day anhydrous ethanol plant in Paraguay.
The ethanol plant is expected to be operational by October 2026, using corn as feedstock.
