Monsoon revival in northwest India, flood risk in east

Monsoon revival in northwest India, flood risk in east

The monsoon is expected to bring more rain to northwest India starting from 28 July, which is good news for farmers who grow rice.

This rain will help the plants grow better and make sure there is enough water in the soil.

However, there is also a storm in the Bay of Bengal that might cause flooding in parts of eastern India, like Odisha and Chhattisgarh.

The weather department has warned people in these areas to be careful because there could be a lot of rain and flooding in low-lying areas.

Farmers have been waiting for this rain because it helps their crops grow, but people in the east need to be prepared for possible floods.
