Indore Demolishes Illegal Colony, Files FIR Against Land Mafia

In Indore, a government area called Sirpur was found to have a fake village built on land that belongs to the state.

The local officials tore down the buildings and started a police case against the people who were trying to sell the land as if it were private.

They discovered that more than 100 fake plots were sold for about 5 lakh rupees each, which could have cheated people out of about 5 crore rupees.

The police also ordered people living in tin‑shed houses on the land to leave.

The case shows how the government is trying to stop illegal land use and protect public property.
