Duleep Trophy Final Shifted From Bengaluru To Chennai
The Duleep Trophy is an important cricket tournament in India.
Its 2026-27 final was originally planned for Bengaluru.
It will now be played in Chennai at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium.
The match is scheduled for September 6 to 10.
Fans will be able to watch the final inside the stadium.
Crowds are not allowed at the Centre of Excellence because of government restrictions.
The earlier matches and semi-finals will still be held in Bengaluru.
The cricket board will also stream every match and show some matches on television.
The 2026-27 Duleep Trophy final has moved from Bengaluru’s Centre of Excellence to Chennai’s M.A. Chidambaram Stadium.
The final will be played from September 6 to 10, allowing spectators to attend.
The move was prompted by restrictions preventing crowds at the Centre of Excellence campus.
BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia said the Duleep Trophy’s importance and legacy made fan attendance desirable for the final.
The rest of the tournament remains scheduled at the Centre of Excellence, beginning August 23, with expanded broadcast coverage.
