VHP, Bajrang Dal Seek Tighter Garba Rules in Shivpuri

Two Hindu organisations in Shivpuri have asked officials to set stricter rules for Garba events during Navratri.

They want people to show Aadhaar cards or other valid identity documents to enter.

They also want only religious or Garba-related songs played.

They say people who are intoxicated should not be allowed inside.

They have also asked for meat shops to be barred near public and religious places during the celebrations.

The groups say the rules are meant to improve safety and prevent unpleasant incidents.

The district administration and event organisers have not yet decided what rules to follow.

The celebrations are scheduled to begin on October 10.
