Indian Engineering Exports Surge in April 2025, Reaching $9.51 Billion
In April 2025, India sold a lot more engineering goods to other countries than they did the year before.
Overall, exports went up by about 11%, reaching over $9 billion.
This happened because they sold more things like machines, vehicles, and copper.
The US and UAE bought much more, but some countries like China bought less.
Exports made up a big part of all the things India sold.
The head of the exporters is happy and hopes things stay good, especially with new trade agreements.
India's engineering exports rose 11.28% in April 2025, reaching $9.51 billion.
Growth was driven by increased shipments of electric machinery, ships, motor vehicles, and copper products.
Exports to the US increased by 17% and the UAE by 37.3%.
Exports declined to China, Turkey, Mexico, and Italy.
Engineering goods made up 24.71% of India's total merchandise exports in April 2025.
