NHRC Seeks Report on Guruvayur Pilgrim Facilities and Safety

The National Human Rights Commission wants officials to explain how Guruvayur Temple is keeping pilgrims safe and comfortable.

Officials have four weeks to send the information.

They must describe how crowds and queues are managed.

They must also explain the safety and quality of prasadam meals.

The commission asked about special help for older people, women, disabled people and sick devotees.

It also wants details about complaints and whether people can file and track them online.

Officials must report on security cameras and traffic near the temple.

The commission is also considering a permanent group to keep checking these arrangements.
