Indore Probe Finds Pipeline Lapses, Missing Sewer Records

Indore Probe Finds Pipeline Lapses, Missing Sewer Records

A judicial commission investigated contaminated water in Bhagirathpura, Indore.

It found that parts of the water pipeline system were not properly checked or maintained.

Some damaged pipes were not replaced on time.

The commission held executive engineer Sanjeev Kumar Srivastava responsible for serious failures.

It also found that important old sewer and water pipeline records were missing.

These records included maps, designs and maintenance documents.

Without them, the commission could not fully identify problems with construction or contractor responsibility.

The commission recommended another inquiry to find out how the records went missing.
