Delhi's Double-Decker Viaduct Nears Completion, Road Delayed
Delhi is building a special double-decker road and train bridge.
It's almost done, but the part where cars drive up to it is waiting for permission to cut down some trees.
This bridge is part of a bigger plan to make it easier to get around Delhi, with trains on top and cars below.
It's expected to open for trains this year, but the road might take a bit longer.
There are two other similar bridges being built too, which will open later.
DMRC is working on building a lot more new metro lines to make the city easier to travel.
Delhi's first double-decker viaduct between Bhajanpura and Yamuna Vihar is nearly complete.
The viaduct will carry metro trains on the upper deck and vehicles below.
The road ramp construction is delayed, pending tree-cutting permission.
The Majlis Park-Maujpur corridor is expected to open for passenger services this year.
DMRC is constructing about 112km of new metro lines as part of its phase-IV expansion.
