Nehru Archive Launched: Digital Treasure Trove of India's History
A big collection of old papers and pictures about India's history, especially when Jawaharlal Nehru was in charge, has been put online.
You can now easily find and read these important documents in many languages.
The team is working to add more things and make the collection even bigger.
Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund (JNMF) launched nehruarchive.in, a digital archive of Indian history from the 1920s to the 1960s.
The archive contains 77,000 pages of digitized documents, including letters, speeches, interviews, and illustrations.
Every document is fully searchable, cross-referenced, and supported by meticulously added metadata.
The archive includes documents in multiple languages, reflecting Nehru's international engagements.
The team aims to expand the archive to include every available letter to and from Nehru, and coordinate with international institutions for relevant documents.
