India Boosts Intelligence on China Border
The Indian government is sending more intelligence officers to the border with China.
This is to stop any more unwanted crossings by the Chinese army.
The border is very long and has some areas where fights have happened before.
The Indian soldiers and a special border police force called ITBP are working to make the border safer.
They are using cameras and satellites to watch the Chinese army.
There are still some areas where the Chinese army is not fully withdrawn, and both countries have a lot of soldiers and weapons near the border.
The government is trying to make sure the border stays safe and peaceful.
The Indian government is deploying more intelligence officials along the LAC to prevent Chinese incursions.
The ITBP and Indian Army have identified at least 20 sensitive spots prone to intrusions.
Additional cameras and sensors have been installed, and satellite imagery is used to monitor Chinese troop movements.
China still occupies around 1,000sqkm of India-claimed territory in eastern Ladakh despite disengagement agreements.
Both countries continue to maintain over 60,000 troops each along the LAC in eastern Ladakh.
