India Must Address Unequal Empowerment, Says Professor Kundu
A professor named Amitabh Kundu gave a talk about how India needs to make things fairer for everyone.
He said that one big problem is that some people don't have as much power as others, especially women.
He talked about how there are fewer girls than boys and how girls and women sometimes don't get the same chances.
He said one way to fix this is to help more women get jobs, especially in factories in the countryside.
This could make their families healthier and help them go to school.
He believes that if India gives women more power, it can make the country richer and fairer for everyone.
Prof. Amitabh Kundu spoke on unequal empowerment at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya.
The lecture focused on economic, social, and gender dimensions.
Kundu emphasized the need to address skewed sex ratios and disparities.
Increasing women's employment, especially in rural manufacturing, was suggested.
Kundu believes empowering women can transform a social deficit into economic growth.
