Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra review: old is gold
Samsung made a new fancy phone called the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
It is special because it folds in half like a book, with a very big screen inside.
The phone is so thin that it is slimmer than a pen.
It can take beautiful photos with three cameras on the back.
You can use two apps at the same time, like texting and watching videos.
The phone is very fast and almost never slows down.
It has smart helpers that remind you about meetings and help you do tasks using your voice.
But the phone gets hot when you use it a lot.
It also takes more than one and a half hours to charge.
The phone costs a lot of money, Rs 1,99,999, so it is not for everyone.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is the renamed book-style foldable in Samsung's revamped eighth-generation lineup, priced at Rs 1,99,999 for 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
It features an ultra-slim design with a 4.1mm profile when unfolded, an 8-inch AMOLED main display and a 6.5-inch cover screen, both at 120Hz.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and One UI 9 based on Android 17, it scored 3,489 single-core and 9,796 multi-core in Geekbench.
New AI features include Now Brief, Now Nudge and Gemini Intelligence, which can complete tasks across more than 40 supported apps and services.
The review praised the display, camera system and multitasking but noted the phone heats up quickly, takes over 1.5 hours to charge and ships without a charger in the box.
