Lodha Demands KEM Hospital Renaming
A leader named Sanjay Raut said that a minister, Mangal Prabhat Lodha, should not only ask to rename a hospital called KEM because of its British name but also remove the word 'Trump' from his building project.
The minister thinks the hospital's name should change because it reminds people of British rule.
Raut thinks this is unfair because the US President Trump has put taxes on India, so using his name is not good either.
Maharashtra BJP minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha demands renaming of KEM Hospital to remove British colonial link.
Sanjay Raut (Shiv Sena UBT) suggests Lodha should also drop 'Trump' from his real estate project due to US tariffs on India.
Lodha made the demand during the centenary program of KEM Hospital and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College.
Raut argues that using 'Trump' is inappropriate given the US President's tariffs on India.
The debate centers around colonial legacy and current political relations.
