Security Threats Postpone Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir Regional Election

Security Threats Postpone Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir Regional Election

People in a place called Pakistan-occupied Kashmir were supposed to vote in elections.

The voting is happening in a few rounds.

The last round was delayed because there were worries about safety.

Some violent protests had happened near a town called Rawalakot.

Protesters said more than 30 people were killed, but reporters could not confirm that.

The group leading the protests was banned by the government.

One political party, the PML-N, won many seats and is likely to lead the area.

Another party says the election was not fair.

A third party, led by a former prime minister, decided not to take part.

The internet and roads in the area are still cut off for many people.
