MP Kavya Criticizes Lack of Skill Programs in Warangal
MP Kadiyam Kavya from Warangal spoke in the parliament about the lack of skill development programs in her area.
She said that even though there are eight training centers, none are working right now.
This means young people don't have the short-term training they need to get good jobs.
She also talked about how women and people from the Scheduled Castes (SC) need more support.
The government said their new program focuses on job training without special rules for certain groups.
Kavya promised to keep pushing for better programs to help her constituency.
MP Kadiyam Kavya raised concerns about the lack of active skill development programs in Warangal.
Eight training centers were empanelled under PMKVY, but none are active under PMKVY 4.0.
Kavya highlighted the need for demand-driven skills and better implementation for marginalized groups.
She criticized the low 41% placement rate from 2015-2022, where only 6,322 of 15,398 certified candidates found jobs.
The government responded that PMKVY 4.0 focuses on career-oriented on-the-job training without reservations.
