Centre Approves Record AYUSH Plan for Andhra Pradesh Expansion

The Centre approved a large health plan for traditional AYUSH treatments in Andhra Pradesh.

The plan will provide ₹185.75 crore during 2026-27.

This is the state’s biggest yearly AYUSH allocation since 2014.

Some money will help doctors travel to tribal areas in mobile medical units.

These teams will offer check-ups, medicines and health advice for free.

Many AYUSH clinics will receive repairs, digital equipment and medicines.

The plan also supports yoga, naturopathy, telemedicine and alcohol de-addiction services.

State minister Satya Kumar said the expansion was supported by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and cooperation with the Centre.
