Ministerial Accountability Fades in India Amid Exam Scandals

Ministerial Accountability Fades in India Amid Exam Scandals

In India, there was a time when ministers would resign if something went wrong in their department, even if they weren't personally at fault.

This was seen as honorable and showed their commitment to doing the right thing.

However, recently, there have been frequent exam paper leaks affecting many students, some of whom have even committed suicide.

Despite this, no ministers have resigned or even met with the protesting students.

The media initially didn't cover the protests much, and when students tried to walk to Parliament, they were teargassed and beaten by the police.

Many people are worried that the students might face serious charges, similar to what happened during the CAA protests.

This has made many people sad and concerned about the direction India is heading in.
