Johnny Walker’s Acting Career Changed After Guru Dutt’s Death
Guru Dutt and Johnny Walker were very close friends and filmmaking partners.
Guru Dutt discovered Walker and gave him his famous screen name.
Walker acted in many of Dutt’s films during the 1950s.
In Pyaasa, Dutt created a special friendly role for Walker.
Walker also became famous for performing the song “Sar Jo Tera Chakraye.”
When Guru Dutt died in 1964, Walker was deeply upset.
His son said Walker later told the family that he did not want to make films anymore.
However, Walker still appeared in some comic roles, including Chachi 420 in 1997.
