Turkey Summons Ukrainian Envoy After Black Sea Vessel Attacks

Turkey called in Ukraine’s ambassador after two ships operated by Turkish companies had problems in the Black Sea.

One ship, the Lider Bordo Mavi, was hit near Russia.

Another ship, the Lider Kocatepe, was targeted by a drone while trying to help.

The damaged ship was taken to a Turkish port.

Turkey said ships, people and the sea must be kept safe.

The Black Sea has become more dangerous because Russia and Ukraine are attacking each other’s export operations.

Turkey wants attacks on commercial ships to stop.

Ankara has tried to keep working relationships with both Russia and Ukraine.
