Indian Army Honors Animal Warriors

Indian Army Honors Animal Warriors

The Indian Army Chief, General Upendra Dwivedi, honored six special animals that work with the army.

These animals include two Bactrian camels, two Zanskari ponies, and two dogs.

They help the army in very cold and high places like Ladakh.

The animals were part of a special group called 'Him Yodhas' (Snow Warriors) that marched in the Republic Day parade for the first time.

The Bactrian camels can carry heavy loads and work in very cold weather.

The Zanskari ponies are small but very strong and can carry loads in extremely cold temperatures.

The dogs are trained for different jobs like finding bombs and rescuing people.

The Indian Army also taught soldiers from Kyrgyzstan how to work in very high and cold places.

They learned about skiing, rescuing people, and dealing with snow slides.

This training helped both countries learn from each other and become better friends.
