Andhra Pradesh Introduces Supplementary Exams for Paramedical Students
The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to start supplementary exams for students in paramedical courses.
Before this, if a student failed their exams, they had to wait a whole year to try again.
This caused delays in their studies and job opportunities.
Now, students who fail can take a supplementary exam in February.
The government hopes this will help students finish their studies faster and get jobs in healthcare more easily.
Around 5,000 students are expected to benefit from this new rule.
Andhra Pradesh introduces supplementary exams for paramedical students starting from the 2025–26 academic year.
Students who fail annual exams in courses like DMLT and ECG Technician can now retake exams in February.
Applications for supplementary exams will be accepted until January 5, benefiting around 5,000 students.
The reform aims to reduce academic delays, ease student stress, and improve employability in the healthcare sector.
The department has also streamlined the examination calendar, conducting regular exams on schedule and declaring results promptly.
